Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man is facing felony criminal sexual conduct charges after investigators learned he was in a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.

That’s according to a criminal complaint filed in Olmsted County Court on Friday. 

The charges say the case started on July 12, when the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office responded to a missing person report in Stewartville

Charges: Rochester Man Engaged in Sexual Relationship With Girl He Met Through Snapchat

The father of the 15-year-old victim told deputies his daughter left their home with a man he knew as 20-year-old Jordan Michael Simar-Hall, the complaint says. 

While speaking with the father, deputies learned that Simar-Hall and the girl had been found together in Stewartville, the court document says.

The teen then told investigators she and Simar-Hall had had sex on July 9 at a park in Chatfield and that she had met Simar-Hall on Snapchat in the Spring, according to the complaint.

The charges say the girl admitted to sneaking out of her home to meet Simar-Hall in June and July. 

Simar-Hall told investigators he believed the girl to be 14-15 years old and admitted to having sex with her in the park in Chatfield, the complaint says.

He said they would normally be with a group of people but that they were also alone a few times. 

Extraction Leads to Discovery of Sexual Messages Between Rochester Man and Teen Girl

An extraction of Simar-Hall’s phone revealed messages that discussed their relationship and sex. Simar-Hall and the teen girl also sent sexually explicit images of themselves to each other, the charges say. 

Simar-Hall is charged with one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and a count of engaging in electronic communication relating to or describing sexual conduct with a child. He’s due to make his first court appearance in October.
