According to a criminal complaint filed in Steele County last October, 30-year-old Jeremy Martin Alvarez became the target of an investigation by the Steele County Sheriff's Office after it received a tip from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The charges against Alvarez say he told investigators "he had gotten into meth and coke and the he got hooked on child pornography during that time." Alvarez also told investigators that he has had the addiction for five years, but denied ever meeting with a juvenile in person.
