
Faribault Man Sent to Prison for Sex Assault of 13-Year-Old Girl
He agreed to admit to a lesser second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge as part of the plea deal, according to Steele County Court records.
Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News)- A sexual assault of an Owatonna teenager has resulted in a prison sentence for a Faribault man.

Court documents indicate the Owatonna Police Department responded to the report of a sex assault on the night of September 5, 2023. The victim was 13 at the time of the sexual assault.

Faribault Man Convicted for Sexual Assault of 13-Year-Old Girl Sent to Prison
After taking the report, authorities issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Mohamed Noor Jimale. He was 22 at the time.
The warrant alleged a person in the victim’s home in Owatonna witnessed Jimale and the victim engaging in a sexual act. Authorities served the warrant on Jimale on February 14 of last year.

The case was set to go to trial, however Jimale, who was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, entered a plea agreement this past March.
He agreed to admit to a lesser second-degree criminal sexual conduct charge as part of the plea deal, according to Steele County Court records.
Jimale was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison. He is serving the time at the state prison in St. Cloud.
Following his time behind bars, Jimale will be on supervised release for 10 years.
