Mazeppa, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities have identified the woman who was found dead over the Labor Day Weekend at a Rochester-area campground.

The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office announced the identification in a news release issued on Tuesday morning. She was found dead on Saturday.

Limited information remains available, however investigators are describing the woman’s death as suspicious

Lakeville Resident Identified as 63-Year-Old Woman Found Dead at Campground Near Lake Zumbro

Wabasha County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the report of a sudden death at Mac's Park Place, located at 57444 406th Ave., which is about 20 miles north of Rochester.

The property is a campground near the Rochester Public Utilities dam on the northern end of Lake Zumbro.

On Tuesday, authorities identified the woman as Barbara McBride-Law of Lakeville, MN. She was 63 years old.

Investigators say they are still awaiting the result of an autopsy to determine McBride’s cause and manner of death. 

“It has been ruled suspicious at this point until further information is obtained which is standard practice,” the news release says.
