It's that season when things start to go bump in the night. There are many "haunted attractions" and usually they open up this coming weekend and will be open weekends leading up to Halloween weekend.  Lots of events are absolutely family friendly.  There are great pumpkin patches, corn mazes, some with interesting and interactive activities that go along with them, and a lot of these events are great for little kids.

Not necessarily this one.  But for "big kids" and adults, this is one event that is on the "must do" list for all things haunted and fun.

Molitors is located in Sauk Rapids, and has put on the Haunted Acres event for several years.  And it remains one of the most popular events of the season.

This year's theme from their website:

Opening day will be Friday, October 3rd.  Tickets will be able to be purchased online up until 5PM each day that the Haunted Acres will be open.  After that, you will need to purchase tickets on site.  If you would like to purchase a fast pass, that will always be available on site only.  There will also be a special line for Fast Pass ticket holders. You will need to check the website for some of the ticket sale times if you are purchasing in person, on site.  The times vary from weekend to weekend.

Ticket prices this year will be $32, $35 or $37 while the Fast Pass will be just one price of $65. There is also a group rate if you have a group of at least 24 people or more.  See website for details on rates.

One note this year is that Molitors encouraged Haunt goers to make sure an wear appropriate clothing, especially footwear.  You will be walking around with uneven terrain, and it could be muddy is some spots as well.  Heels or sandals probably not a great idea for footwear.
