UPDATE: Wildfires In California Force NFL To Move MN Vikings Game
Updated 1/10/25:
According to the NFL:
"The Minnesota Vikings-Los Angeles Rams wild-card game on Monday night has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The change of venue comes as Southern California is dealing with multiple wildfires."
"In the interest of public safety, Monday's Vikings-Rams Wild Card game has been moved from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA to State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals, the NFL announced today," the statement read, in part.
"The decision was made in consultation with public officials, the participating clubs and the NFLPA."

The Minnesota Vikings are scheduled to play the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night as the final game of the NFL's Wild Card Weekend. Right now that game is supposed to be played at SoFi Stadium, where both the Rams and the LA Chargers call home. With the Palisades fire still raging, the NFL has determined if it's not possible to play in LA, the game will still happen on Monday, but from another stadium, in another state.
The NFL announced yesterday that it was closely watching the wildfires in California, and that the Vikings game would still happen on Monday, it was just a question of where the game will be played out.
The NFL announced that if SoFi isn't safe for players and fans to be at, the game will move to Glendale, Arizona, where the NFL's Arizona Cardinals call home. Yes, the NFL would move the game between the Vikings and Rams to Arizona.
This isn't the first time that the Minnesota Vikings would be forced to change venues for a game.
Remember when the dome collapsed due to too much snow being on the roof? The Vikings moved that game to Detroit.
"On the morning of Dec. 12, 2010, the Metrodome roof caved in under pressure from heavy snow and the Vikings game against the New York Giants had to be moved to Monday night at Ford Field in Detroit"
The Saints after Hurricane Katrina tore through New Orleans in 2005 played home games in three different locations, Giants Stadium, Tiger Stadium (LSU), and the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
While it's still to be determined if the game will be moved if the fire in California keeps growing, it will be more likely we will be seeing the teams playing in AZ versus LA.
