Watch Flavor Flav Dump Bucket of Mayonnaise on Minnesota Coach
One of the most iconic sports traditions is drenching a winning coach with a cooler of liquid, but this weekend, one Minnesota coach experienced an unexpected twist. Instead of Gatorade, they got a mayo bath!
Even more surprising? The person behind the mayo moment was none other than Flavor Flav, the clock-wearing rap legend from Public Enemy.

The viral moment happened after the 2025 Duke's Mayo Bowl, in which the Minnesota Golden Gophers beat Virginia Tech 24-10. Tubby, the official mascot for the mayo brand, was unmasked as Flavor Flav at a post game press conference.
Since 2021, the post game mayo dump has become one of the many crazy traditions associated with college bowl season, and Gophers' coach P.J. Fleck was clearly excited about having the hip-hop icon giving him a mayo bath.
When Flavor Flav was unveiled as the surprise under the costume, Fleck immediately dropped Flav's iconic ""Yeah, boyeeeeee!" line before getting more than 5 gallons of mayo dumped over his head.
Duke's Mayonnaise says it decided to make Flavor Flav its mascot because of his "passion and support of women's sports -- from sponsoring the U.S. Women's Polo team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris to his other charitable contributions, and of course his love of mayonnaise."
Duke's also made donations to two charities that Flavor Flav supports, The Giving Kitchen as well as The Bowery Mission.
I don't think I've even seen anyone so excited to get gallons of mayonnaise dumped over their head. Fleck's excitement was clear to see when Flavor Flav was reveled, and he was even more energetic getting the dumped on him.
