Since the opening of U.S. Bank Stadium and the continued rise in popularity of the NFL, securing a ticket to a Minnesota Vikings home game can be very costly. If that is what has kept you from going, here is your chance.

Another Vikings Season Losing Steam

As the Vikings approach the end of another season and with their playoff chances essentially dead at this point, interest in the team has fallen off a cliff. Ticket prices for this Sunday’s matchup against the Washington Commanders reflect that shift in a big way.

According to data from statista.com, the average price for a ticket to see the Minnesota Vikings has gone up from $71.32 in 2006 to $123.37 in 2023. According to ticketdata.com, the get-in price for the previous three Vikings home games has been $125, $105, and $110. For Sunday’s game, you can get in for less than half of that.

At last check, Ticketmaster has tickets for Sunday’s game as low as $45 each. That is by far the lowest price for any Vikings regular season home game in the last several years, and it is almost approaching preseason ticket prices. For fans who love the atmosphere but not the hit to the wallet, this is the kind of window that rarely opens.

Looking Ahead to the Final Home Games

As for the remaining two home games after this weekend, it looks like Lions and Packers fans are buying a majority of the tickets. Prices for those games still remain over $100. If the Vikings lose again this weekend, those prices could fall as well.

If you have been holding out on going to a home game, now may be the time. You may not see the best team on the field, but the experience at U.S. Bank Stadium is always fun and saving money on tickets means more delicious stadium food. SKOL.
