The program will feature four distinct areas of study: Cannabis Agriculture and Horticulture, Cannabis Compliance and Risk Management, Business of Cannabis, and Cannabis Healthcare and Medicine.

Each certificate takes approximately six months to complete. Thanks to the online format, students can move at their own pace.
Meeting the Demand for Cannabis Professionals
“The cannabis industry is growing at an unprecedented rate, and the demand for skilled professionals is higher than ever,” said SCSU President Robbyn Wacker in a press release. “Our endeavor is to meet workforce demand to provide educated professionals in this quickly evolving industry.”
Green Flower already partners with over 20 other educational institutions and features instructors who are considered pioneers and leading experts in the cannabis space.
SCSU is the first, but most likely will not be the last college to offer a cannabis program in the coming years as the industry grows in Minnesota.
