The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon has built its reputation on recurring comedy bits like Lip Sync Battle and the Wheel of Musical Impressions. Recently, Fallon brought back another fan favorite called “Look-Alikes,” and this time it had a Minnesota twist.

During the segment, Fallon shared a photo he said came from Shane Miller in Minneapolis. The image was of indie rock band Night Moves, and one of the members looked so much like Fallon that it could have been his long-lost twin. Fallon put the photo up for the audience, and as the crowd roared with laughter, he exclaimed, “wow.”

Jimmy Fallon’s Minnesota Look-Alike Moment

Never one to leave the joke hanging, Fallon decided to recreate the band member’s look live on stage. With a wig, a flannel shirt, and a beard, the late-night host transformed into his doppelgänger. The result was uncanny, and even Fallon couldn’t stop himself from breaking into laughter as the crowd cheered.

Night Moves formed in Minneapolis in 2012 and have become one of the Twin Cities’ most respected indie rock groups. Known for blending elements of psychedelic pop and folk-rock, they’ve built a loyal fan base. The band has released four albums, with their latest, Double Life, debuting in July after a six-year gap between records.

Currently on tour to promote the new release, Night Moves is playing shows across the Midwest before heading west through California, Oregon, and into Canada, carrying their Minnesota sound to fans nationwide.
