New Prime Show Highlights Anthony Edwards’ Competitive Side
The Minnesota Timberwolves are early in the 2025-26 season, and superstar forward Anthony Edwards is off to a slow start along with the rest of the team. Sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference, the Wolves have a long way to go to reach the high expectations that were set for them this season.
Early Season Pressure In Minnesota
The Wolves are coming off a stretch of seasons where expectations have steadily grown, and this year feels especially important. When the team stumbles out of the gate, it is natural for Minnesota fans to look for signs that things are about to turn around, and Anthony Edwards is usually at the center of that hope.
Edwards Steps Into The Spotlight Off The Court
If anyone can turn the season around and give the team a lift with his competitive spirit, it is Edwards. His drive shows up in more than basketball. He is putting that competitive streak to the test in a new series now streaming on Amazon Prime.

The show, produced by Edwards' production company, Three-Fifths Media, is titled Serious Business with Anthony Edwards, and the first episode is streaming now. The show’s description says that Edwards is “ready to challenge whoever, whenever.” That is exactly what he sets out to do in this new series, where he battles elite athletes and celebrities in all sorts of competitions.
The First Challenge: Table Tennis
In episode one, the only episode currently available, Edwards tries his hand at table tennis by taking on Olympian Lily Zhang, who has won six national table tennis championships and has competed in four Olympics for Team USA. Edwards makes a bold claim during the episode that he could become a professional table tennis player within a year and a half.
Whether he still feels that confident by the end of the episode is something viewers will have to find out for themselves. Without giving any spoilers, it is safe to say that Edwards brings his charm, humor, and relentless confidence to the table. Minnesota fans might enjoy seeing this different side of their star, even if most of them would probably prefer that he keeps his main focus on basketball as the long season continues.
