If you get the feeling that there has been an increase in food safety recalls in recent years, you'd be right.

A recent report showed a 15% increase in total food recalls between 2020 and 2024, with a significant rise in Class I recalls (the most serious). While some experts say the increase is due to improved detection capabilities and reporting requirements, the overall trend points to more recalls overall.

So far in 2025, that trend has continued. There have already been a significant number of food safety recalls impacting people in Wisconsin, and experts believe that there will ultimately be more this year compared to previous years.

It can be difficult to keep up with all the food safety recalls and whether they impact you or the people you love, especially when several occur within a short period of time.

For example, during the last week of July, there were 8 new or active recalls that people should be aware of. Below are the important details involving all of them.
