
Bat-Wielding Shoplifters Arrested At Duluth Super One Foods
Two suspects were taken into custody and charged after an altercation at a Northland Super One. Fortunately, the injuries were minor, but they caused a chaotic scene on Monday evening.
Fight At Super One
The Duluth Police Department shared a press release about the incident. The Duluth Police Department officers responded to a report of a fight at Super One Foods in West Duluth (5300 Bristol Street). No one was actively fighting when the officers arrived. Super One's loss prevention officer already had two individuals detained.

Two males were detained by an employee.
A 15-year-old male was with a 22-year-old male in the store. The 15-year-old male allegedly stole an item and left the store with the adult male, Brent Edwards.
The loss prevention officer confronted the males, and a physical altercation occurred. While they were fighting, Brent Edwards threatened the loss prevention officer with a baseball bat.

The loss prevention officer then deployed a chemical irritant. Edwards was taken to the St. Louis County jail and charged with 2nd degree assault. The 15-year-old was issued a citation for shoplifting and 5th-degree assault.
