Minnesota-style pizza is a real thing, and it's known for having a thin, crispy crust, often compared to a cracker. However, it Food Network says the best pizza in the state is not a Minnesota-style pizza, but one that is inspired by the East Coast.

If you want the best slice of pizza in Minnesota, then head to Hello Pizza, located at 3904 Sunnyside Road in Edina.

According to its website, the inspiration for Hello Pizza began when chef Ann Kim was attending college in New York and regularly enjoyed slices of pizza on her "shabby couch".

Hello Pizza is inspired by her love of the classic NYC corner pizza shop, and Food Network was left impressed by the shop's "careful attention to the craft, ingredients, and, most importantly, grease that have come to define the quintessential New York slice."

The Sicilian-style and thin-crust pies can be customized with a variety of toppings, including Berkshire bacon, Kalamata olives, and organic spinach. You can build your own pizza or order a specialty pie. Food Network recommends the Hello Trinity, which combines sweet red sauce with whole milk mozzarella, house-made fennel sausage, natural casing pepperoni, and cremini mushrooms on a dense, chewy crust.

The Hello Pizza menu also features a variety of salads and snacks, and even dessert. Gluten-free options are also available on all pies, except for the Sicilian Pan Pie.
