A North St. Paul woman put up her giant skeletons in September. She was decorating for Halloween. She tells Fox 9 in Minneapolis that she keeps the skeletons up until April or May, and then takes them down. I can understand wanting to wait until the snow melts and the ground thaws.

However, she got a note in the mail threatening her to take down her "creepy" decorations. She posted the note on a neighborhood Facebook page and the response was overwhelmingly supportive.

In fact, it went even further and people started putting their skeletons up in solidarity. Not only in the area, but in other communities as well.

She decorated the skeletons for St. Patrick's Day, and she says it's just harmless fun. Most people agree and the comments have been mostly positive.

Some people commented that part of the reason people keep them out in the yards is because there's no place to store a 12-foot-tall skeleton.

What do you think? Is it disturbing or creepy to have a skeleton up other than Halloween? I've seen far more graphic Halloween decorations out, but they are usually down before Christmas. At the end of the day, it's her yard and her decision. Unless there's an ordinance passed, there's not much anyone can do about it.
