Monticello, MN (KROC-AM News) - A statewide Endangered Missing Person Alert has been issued for a Minnesota teenager who has described himself as an "urban explorer."

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says the Wright County Sheriff's Office is requesting assistance from the public in locating 16-year-old Evan Peters. The Monticello teenager left his home on June 27 and hasn't returned, although the alert says he had been communicating with family until recently.

Officials say Evan is believed to be in the Twin Cities area. The alert indicates that the self-described "urban explorer" is known to visit abandoned properties and tunnels.

He is described as 5'9", 145 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. He has amateur tattoos on his hands and a tattoo of a radioactive symbol on his right shoulder blade.
