Carol Louise (Hall) Wilder, age 76, of Faribault, Minnesota, passed away on August 1, 2024. Born on December 6, 1947, in Aurora, Illinois, Carol was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

A proud graduate of St. Charles High School in St. Charles, Illinois, Class of 1966, Carol’s life journey led her through various cities, including Streamwood, IL; Tucson, AZ; and Willcox, AZ, before settling in Faribault in 1988.

Carol met her future husband, Doug Wilder, on a blind date in 1972, and they were married on April 28, 1973. Their 51-year marriage was a testament to their deep love and commitment. Together, they raised two sons. Carol cherished her role as a wife and mother, and her greatest joy came from her family, including her beloved grandchildren.

A two-time breast cancer survivor, Carol’s strength and resilience were evident in her battle against the disease. Carol's caring nature shone through her many acts of kindness, from knitting hats for premature infants to volunteering at her church and local nursing home. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan, enjoyed crafting ceramics and finding solace in her faith. Her sharp humor left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Doug Wilder; her sons, John (Liz Wright) and Mark (JoAnn) Wilder; her grandchildren, Matthew, Morgen, Marshall, and Lexi; her siblings, Cindy Villanueva (Juan), Forrest Woodworth, Sherri Heyda (Mike), and Dan Hall (Lynn); and many nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the aides, nurses, caregivers, and spiritual guides who provided compassionate support throughout Carol’s journey.

Carol’s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
