Results from recent Owatonna Junior High / Kids First wrestling events.

STOCKWELL INVITATIONAL

The OWA and OJHS/Kids First wrestling hosted the annual Stockwell Invitational tournament on December 6^th.  There were 37 brackets this year, featuring competition between 11 teams and 197 wrestlers.  Owatonna finished second in the team race and crowned 9 individual champions.

TRIANGULAR WITH MANKATO WEST & NORTHFIELD THURSDAY DECEMBER 11

At Owatonna – The JH Wrestling Team hosted a Tri with Northfield and Mankato West. The match was at the High School with the JV and Varsity matches, all going on at the same time! Coach Millan said, “The kids really responded tonight!”

The JH Team, now 8-0, racked up some dominant wins! They got sweet revenge with a win over Northfield, 18-9 with 12 pins and also defeated Mankato West 18-1 with 11 pins!

On Saturday (December 13), Owatonna will send out 2 teams to separate tournaments. One team will go to the Elk River Duals for a team tournament and the other half of the team will go to the Medford Open Individual Wrestling Tournament.
