Owatonna softball dropped their home opener to Winona 14-0 in five innings at Morehouse Park on Tuesday. OHS baseball lost at Winona 7-1.

The Winona softball team was the Class AAA state runner-up last year and returns most of their lineup. OHS stayed close and trailed 3-0 after four innings. But the Winhawks uncorked an 11-run inning to put an end to the game after five innings at 14-0. The Huskies were held to two hits. OHS (1-1) hosts Albert Lea on Thursday at 5PM.

Owatonna baseball struck out nine times in their 7-1 loss at Winona, according to the Winona Daily News. The Huskies scored first on an RBI from Nolan Malo in the second inning but didn't reach third base again. OHS (1-1) plays at Albert Lea on Thursday at 5PM.
