Winners of the Owatonna Scarecrow Contest

The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism held the annual Harvestfest October 2-4. One activity through the event included businesses entering a Scarecrow Contest. A total of 13 businesses entered. The judging was Friday morning.

United Prairie Bank is the winner of the 2015 Scarecrow Contest. Pictured below with the scarecrow, from United Prairie Bank are Jessica Durand and Dan Nelson, Owatonna Chamber President Jennifer Libby, and Silvan Durben from Owatonna Arts Center.

The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism events also include Business After Hours, which will be taking place on Tuesday, October 27. It will be sponsored by Morehouse Place and Torey's Restaurant and Bar. Business After Hours will be at Morehouse Park at 5:30PM.

Also a reminder, the Farmers' Market is every Saturday into October, with the last day on the 31st. Maybe they will be dressed up for the occasion.
