Will Jerry Eat It? New Lay’s Potato Chip Flavors

Lay's, the company behind many tasty potato chips and other snacks, has a new flavor contest. They've narrowed it down to four finalist flavors: Kettle Cooked Greektown Gyro, Wavy West Coast Truffle Fries, Southern Biscuits and Gravy, and New York Reuben.

Online voting is in progress now and runs through Oct. 18. Cast your vote for your favorite new flavor at dousaflavor.com. You can also meet the people behind the finalist flavors and track how the flavors are doing state by state.

Lay’s recently sent us samples of their new potato chip flavors. We asked radio fans to vote for their favorites at our booth during the Rice County Fair. New York Reuben was the fair favorite, with 32 percent of the vote. Greektown Gyro and Southern Biscuits and Gravy tied with 25 percent each, and West Coast Truffle Fries pulled in 18 percent of the votes. Online viewers may vote in our poll above. In the video below, KDHL Farm Director Jerry Groskreutz tastes them all and tells us which is his favorite.

Each week, Jerry will try something different. It may be exotic, it may be mundane, it may be disgusting, it may be the best thing he's ever had. He doesn't know in advance what he'll be eating.
