Baseball, softball, golf, tennis and track teams have all had games and meets postponed already. Now the lacrosse season faces the same scenario. The Owatonna girls are scheduled to host Lakeville South Thursday, April 12 at the OHS field. The field will not be ready. The OHS boys are scheduled to host Farmington Saturday and the weather forecast doesn't leave many optimistic that the field will be ready then either.

The Minnesota State High School League held a special meeting Wednesday morning and announced that baseball and softball teams can play doubleheaders of five-inning games if they choose. Baseball pitchers are still limited to a strict pitch count. Teams can hold games with just one umpire as well, according to a news release from the league.

Medford has announced their home softball game against JWP on Thursday, April 12 will shift to Janesville where they have an artificial surface.
