There is a new stadium in town and the seats are for the most part sold out for all the games. Great fuel for the fire of people who want to sell you phony tickets.

You want to watch out for tickets on the internet and those sold near the stadium on game day. Vikings team officials say the only authorized outlets for Vikings football tickets are the Vikings Ticket Office, Ticketmaster and the NFL TicketExchange.

A helpful tip from the Better Business Bureau says that if you need tickets on game day, check with the Vikings ticket office. Some may have been returned from the other team or are otherwise available.

Authorized tickets are accessible through the Vikings Mobile App or printed PDF tickets on 8.5-inch-by-11-inch paper. Vikings management states Vikings tickets are not sold on hard ticket stock; those tickets are fake.

Here's another great tip from the BBB: Ask the seller if you can take a photo with them holding their ID. If they say no, it's probably a scam and walk away. Remember also to cross-check the seat assignment and ticket prices with a stadium map. If the seller refuses, don't go through with the transaction.

When you are online, look for the BBB symbol. It means the seller has a good reputation with the bureau and a secure site.
