United Way Launches New Service

The Steele County United Way has launched a new volunteer matching service. This service will allow individuals to see where they can help make a difference with a number of agencies and organizations. There are a number of entities looking for volunteers on a regular basis or in some cases to assist with just one or two events.

How it works is first go to the Volunteer Connect web site. Check out the organizations looking for volunteer help. You can then sign up for a shift or perhaps just let the organization know of your interest. You will then be asked to create a volunteer profile to give them an idea of what you are interested in doing and how you would like to help. You'll be able to schedule and change shifts from your computer or phone.
