Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Unemployment was lower throughout the region in March and every county reported jobless rates that were lower than the rates from March of last year.

Olmsted County continued to enjoy the lowest unemployment rate in the southeastern corner of the state at 3.3-percent. That was down 3-tenths of a point from February and was a tenth of a point below the jobless rate from March 2016.

Two other counties in the region had jobless rates under four percent in March. Both Winona and Mower came in at 3.7-percent.

The highest rate across the region has been found in Fillmore County the past two months. The rate for March was 5.2-percent, which is down almost a half point when compared to February and is a tenth of a point below the March 2016 jobless rate.
