The Minnesota Twins had their second-highest home-opening crowd on Monday despite cool, windy conditions. The White Sox spoiled the party with a 4-1 win over the Twins.

The announced crowd of 40,638 huddled together in their new hooded sweatshirts that were given away to the first 30,000 fans. Only the 2011 attendance of 40,714 was higher for an opening day at Target Field, which opened in 2010.

KRFO sale executive Rich Will was one of those fans shivering in the below-average April temperatures, especially after an extra long walk from where he and his group finally found a place to park. He was nice enough to take a few pictures for me to post.

Minnesota will face the White Sox again Wednesday at 7:10PM with a 6:30PM pregame on KRFO AM 1390. After Thursday's afternoon tilt with Chicago, Los Angeles comes to town for a three-game series. Milwaukee plays at Target Field on Monday and Tuesday before the Twins go to Milwaukee.
