It wasn't the prettiest of games, but the Cannon Falls Bombers downed the Triton Cobras 58-45 in Dodge Center on Tuesday night. Both teams used some full court pressure, and got results at times.

The Bombers netted 12 points off 12 Cobra turnovers in the first half to take a 33-22 lead, and the Cobras got 13 points off turnovers in the second half to take a 41-40 lead, but the final turnover results were a 24-14 advantage to Cannon Falls, and the Bombers also outscored Triton 8-1 at the free throw line. Points off turnovers were 23-18 for Cannon Falls.

Dylan Dircks led the way with 23 points, Tanner Carlson added 17 and Jordon Flemmons tallied 10 for the Bombers. Triton was led by MIchael Thomas with 17, and Alex Finne 12. The Cobras are now 3-7 in the HVL and 6-13 overall and play at Kenyon on KDHL Radio on Friday night. The Bombers are 4-7 in league action and 6-11 overall and head to Kasson-Mantorville on Friday night.

My car nearly had turnoveritis on the way home in the snowy and rainy weather. Several vehicles were in the ditch along Highway 14 and Interstate 35. On the way to Dodge Center via Kenyon and West Concord, I saw just one vehicle in the ditch. A reminder, the speed limit sign is under ideal conditions, and the conditions were anything but ideal! Slow down and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you.
