The Triton High School boys golf team made school history again on Wednesday. The Owatonna High School girls lacrosse team won on the road as the home team to open the section tournament.

Triton's boys golf team has set and reset the school scoring record this season. Wednesday they accomplished a Cobra first in winning the Section 1AA title and advancing to state. Triton fired a 303 Wednesday to add to their 313 from last week for a two-day total of 616, 30 strokes better than Rochester Lourdes. Jaden Thiemann was the meet medalist. The state golf tournament is June 9-10 at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan for Class AA.

Owatonna's girls lacrosse team was the higher seed in their section quarterfinal game Wednesday, but had to play in Rochester due to the field conditions at Husky Stadium. OHS topped Rochester Century 13-6 at RCTC to advance to the semifinals Friday at top seed and No. 2 ranked Lakeville South.

NRHEG baseball lost 8-2 at Waseca on Wednesday. The Panthers will play an elimination game Thursday at 5PM against Tri City United in Montgomery.

The Blooming Prairie softball season ended with a 10-0 loss to Fillmore Central in the 1A tournament in Austin.

Section 1AA track begins Thursday at Lakeville South for Owatonna's athletes. The 1A track meet continues at Triton High School as well.
