Owatonna High School volleyball, boys soccer and girls cross country open their season Thursday. Blooming Prairie volleyball plays their first match and Owatonna girls tennis continues a busy week.

The Huskies' volleyball team opens at No. 2AAA Prior Lake in a match that was originally scheduled for Owatonna but was moved due to the water damage to the gym floor from an early August storm. Match time is 7PM. Owatonna travels to Farmington on Friday night for a match that can be heard on Kat Kountry 105FM.

Owatonna's boys soccer team begins their campaign at Burnsville at 7PM Thursday. The Huskies have appeared in the section championship match the past four years. They won the title in 2012 and 2013 and finished as the runner-up the past two years. OHS has a deep roster and has added a fourth level of boys soccer this fall. The girls open their season Saturday at Lakeville North as part of a doubleheader with the boys.

The OHS girls cross country team runs at UW-River Falls at 4PM after getting a season tuneup during the Owatonna Rotary STRIVE Wellness Run during the fair.

Blooming Prairie volleyball opens their season hosting Byron at 7:15PM.
