Top seed Champlin Park used a three-point buzzer beater to advance to the Class AAAA semifinals. DeLaSalle finally pulled away from Big Lake in the AAA event.

The Rebels and Chaska were tied at 50-50 after rallying from a 12-point deficit with time winding down when Jeff Dubois hit a twisting three-point shot to lift Champlin Park to victory, according to the Minnesota State High School League game recap. The Rebels will face Wayzata in the boys basketball semifinals Thursday at 6PM at Target Center. The Trojans rallied past Lakeville North 69-66.

The other AAAA semifinal will pit Maple Grove against Apple Valley at 8PM.

In Class AAA, five-time defending champion Minneapolis DeLaSalle was pushed by tournament newcomer Big Lake at Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota. The Islanders prevailed 55-47 after trading the lead several times with the Hornets. DeLaSalle will meet fellow Tri-Metro Conference member Columbia Heights in Thursday's noon semifinal at Target Center. The No. 5 seed Hylanders built a 20-point lead over No. 4 Fergus Falls, but the Otters came back to within two points before losing 77-74.

Austin held off St. Thomas Academy 55-49 to advance to the AAA semifinals. The Packers drained seven three-pointers while holding the Cadets to 0-for-14 from behind the arc. Austin was the state runner-up in 2013 and 2014. The Packers will play Marshall at 2PM Thursday. The Tigers beat Grand Rapids 83-64.
