‘The Producers’ Opens Thursday at Little Theatre of Owatonna

The Little Theatre of Owatonna's next production is "The Producers." Shows are at 7:30PM shows June 18, 19 and 20, with a 2PM matinee on Sunday. There also will be evening performances on June 25, 26 and 27.

In a nutshell, this Mel Brooks comedy is about a Broadway producer who learns he can make more money producing a flop than a success. He sets out to do just that. You then have a play being staged within a play. You also have good actors who are trying to give poor performances.

This play features 30 actors and numerous set changes and costumes. Director Jeffrey Jackson and several cast members were guests on AM 1390's Talk of the Town.
