The sixth annual Farmamerica Classic Tractor Ride will be Saturday, June 25. The ride is open to everyone who is at least 18. Tractors will leave Farmamerica, 7367 360th Ave., Waseca, about 6 miles west of town, for the 60-mile drive at 8:30AM, stop for lunch in Mapleton and return to Farmamerica about 4:30PM. The ride will be all on hard-surface roads. The grand marshal this year will be Ken Lenz, featuring his black Farmall Super MTA. The registration is $20, paid to Farmamerica, and includes lunch. New this year, non-drivers may join the tour on a tram.

For more information, go to farmamerica.org, or you can call Farmamerica at (507) 835-2052. As with most events these days, there is a list of rules that must be followed. Just in case you have problems with your tractor on the ride, there will even be a "chase truck" with gas, diesel, oil, chains, air compressor, hydraulic jacks, wrenches, screwdrivers and someone who has experience with classic tractors.
