The Faribault Falcons and Owatonna Huskies hooked up Tuesday night in Owatonna and after the first half it looked like it was going to be down to the wire.  Faribault led by a 29-24 score at the half, but scored just 12 second half points as the Huskies went into ATTACK mode and scored a 63-41 victory.  Both teams were 3-3 heading into the contest. The Falcons didn't finish with a lot of turnovers in the game, but Owatonna turned Faribault's 13 turnovers into 18 points and added an 11 point advantage at the free throw line to win it.  Owatonna missed just three free throws in the second half while Faribault went o for 5 and finished the game 2 of 10 from the so-called charity stripe.  Outside of the lack of offense Head Coach Lance Walsten  had to be very upset about the baseline after baseline baskets given up by his team in the second half.  The game had a similar theme to the Mankato East loss on the road Saturday where Faribault trailed by 7 at the half and got a quick hoop to cut the deficit to five and had the ball after a Cougar turnover, then on 3 of the next five possessions shot a 3 pointer and missed with Mankato East responding with a bucket on the other end and extended their lead to double digits.  In Owatonna, Faribault had the five point halftime lead and it was gone just a couple minutes into the second half.  The Falcons first basket and points of the second half came 4:19 into the second half.  Owatonna's bench outscored Faribault's bench 22-10 and the Huskies finished with six threes to Faribault's three.  Only one Falcon starter even scored in the second half and that was Kade Hart. Hart had 8 points and T.J. Hunt 8 points and were the Faribault State Farm Insurance agents Faribault players of the game.  Junior Winfield Hunter added 7.  Owatonna was led by 6'5 Junior reserve Mason Thein with 15 points and 6'1 Junior Alex Emanuelson and 5'11 Senior Dexter Leer scored 13 each.  Faribault heads to Winona and Owatonna hosts Northfield on Friday.
