The final numbers are in for Owatonna's Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Minnesota held last weekend at Lake Kohlmier.

About 150 people signed up to jump in at the first Special Olympics Polar Plunge event at Lake Kohlmier. The event began at 1 p.m., and all participants had taken their turns a little more than a half-hour later.

Coaches Vs. Cancer and a plunge into Lake Kohlmier highlight the weekend locally. Also, the rivalry rematches in hockey between Owatonna and Faribault occur on Saturday.

For the first time the Polar Plunge is coming to Owatonna. Saturday at 1 p.m. more than 150 plungers will jump into Lake Kohlmier to benefit Special Olympics Minnesota.

Owatonna's three teams combined to go 10-0 and each won its division at the Minnesota State Special Olympics Poly Hockey tournament at the Breck School on Jan. 24-25.
