Owatonna boys' basketball will face one of the top players in the nation when Apple Valley comes to the OHS Thursday night for a 7:30PM game, which can be heard on KRFO AM1390. If you are going to the game, you should probably arrive early, as a big crowd is expected.

Owatonna basketball picked up a pair of Big Nine Conference wins over Winona on Friday. The boys won 68-58 after leading by one at halftime. Owatonna's girls burst out to a 12-0 lead on their way to a 76-44 victory.
Smith Hat Trick Leads Owatonna to Hockey Sweep over Austin
Senior Nick Smith netted a hat trick at Austin as the Owatonna boys won 5-2 Thursday night. The OHS girls beat the Packers 6-4 with two goals each from Margo Achterkirch and Maylynn Prokopec. Owatonna trailed initially in both games, but used big second periods to grab the lead.
Budach Enjoys Relaxed Trip to The Bank; Williamson Lands Award
Owatonna High School senior Noah Budach, along with teammate Zach Mensink made a return trip to U.S. Bank Stadium last weekend. After winning the state 5A football championship in the November 25 Prep Bowl, the two were part of the south team for the all-star football game on December 9.

Owatonna Boys Win Season Opener; Girls Teams Win Too
The Owatonna boys' basketball team won its delayed season opener 85-48 at Albert Lea, building a 57-21 lead by halftime. The OHS girls also jumped out early on their way to a 72-52 win over the Tigers. The Huskies' gymnastics team scored a solid victory at Red Wing to begin their season.
