Whether it's raining or sunny, include the library in summer plans for the kids. Numerous events each week in Owatonna and Blooming Prairie. Generally, preregistration is not necessary.

Every Tuesday the Owatonna Public Library hosts Story Time at 9:30AM and 10:30AM for preschoolers and their families. On Wednesday, Garden Time begins at 9:30AM for all ages and Adventure Club is at 3PM for kids 5 and older.

On Thursday, June 18, the Shiffelly Puppets perform at 10AM for all ages.

For the adults, "So Many Books...So Little Time" is held once a month, including Tuesday, June 16, at 10AM in the Gainey Room on the third floor.

Blooming Prairie Library

Summer Story Time is held each Tuesday at 10:30AM in Blooming Prairie. Adventure Club is each Wednesday at 11AM.

On Thursday, June 18, the Blooming Prairie Library hosts the Schiffelly Puppets at 1PM and family movie night at 6:30PM.

The library is in the City Center building in Blooming Prairie. Hours are Monday through Wednesday 10AM to 6PM, Thursday 10AM to 8PM, Friday 10AM to 5PM, and Saturday 10AM to 1PM.
