There will be four stages with entertainment during this summer's Steele County Free Fair. The Elmer Reseland stage will be dedicated opening night of the fair at 6PM. It'll be just east of the 4-H Building. Along with the birth of the new stage, the Owatonna Chapter of the Izaac Walton League will be celebrating their 90th birthday on Saturday, August 20, at the fair. Stop by their building and get free coloring books, copies of the national newsletter and special membership rates. There will also be special pricing on 90th anniversary pizza cutters and a visit from the state president.

The Steele County Sheriff's Office will again offer free I.D.name tags for kids during the fair. Their office is inside the Muckle Building. Children's fingerprints for the free I.D. kits will be taken at the sheriff's office each day of the fair.

Besides Goldy the Gopher visiting the Federated Insurance booth on Wednesday of the fair between 11:15 and 1:30PM, two of the Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders will be on the grounds on Friday of the fair from 5:30-7:30PM.

The Midway ticket book will be opening at 1PM Tuesday, August 16, so you can redeem your Mega-Ride tickets for wristbands.
