The annual St. Patrick's Day Dinner will be served on Thursday, March 17, from 5-7PM at the Owatonna Elks Lodge. The menu features corned beef and cabbage, baby red potatoes, dinner roll and dessert.

Proceeds will benefit the Patient Care Fund of the Homestead Hospice House. Hospice care is often covered by insurance. However, board for those who choose to stay at the Hospice House is not. Those unable to pay this cost may get aid through the Patient Care Fund.

Hospice caseloads have doubled in the past three to four months since the affiliation with the Faribault Hospice Care. Faribault Area Hospice served under the District One Hospital organization. Last year, District One became a part of Allina Health. Since the end of 2015  Faribault Area Hospice's program has been integrated with the Owatonna Area hospice program, which is part of the reason for the uptick in caseloads.

Advance tickets for the dinner are $15 and available at the Homestead Hospice House, Kottke Jewelers and the Elks. Tickets at the door will be $20.
