Catholic Schools Week is a national observance. Locally the St. Mary's School of Owatonna will be taking part in the observation.

The week begins on Sunday, January 29, with a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria from 8AM to 12:30PM. Parents of prospective students will have the opportunity to meet with the teachers and staff. It'll also be a chance for the general public to check out the improvements that have been done to the building over the past year or so.

  • Monday there will be a story read in the gym. It will also be Pajama Day where attendees can show off their pjs.
  • Tuesday the students will present a talent show starting at 12:30PM. It's also Crazy Hair and Crazy Wear Day.
  • Wednesday students are encouraged to dress in red, white and blue and doughnuts will be served after Mass.
  • Thursday it's Winter Carnival games and students will be dressing up as their favorite superhero.
  • Friday will feature board games and family time. Students are asked to wear their St. Mary's wear.
  • On Sunday, February 5, it will be family bingo in the cafeteria from 1-3PM.
