Special Olympics Needs Your Help

Owatonna Area Special Olympics needs coaches. With 100 athletes registered and 7 sports offered, there is a spot for everyone to help coach. We also have several Unified Partners registered, which is another place that a person could get involved.

Owatonna offers the following sports:

1. Swimming
2. Track and Field (Athletics)
3. Softball
4. Flag Football (Unified sport only)
5. Bowling
6. Poly Hockey
7. Basketball

If you have ever wanted to get involved, this is your chance. You don't have to know a lot about the sports, you will be trained. Best of all, the training is FREE. For more information, you can go to the MN Special Olympics site or email Roy voiceofohs@yahoo.com. If you cannot commit to an entire season, there is the option to volunteer for events only.

We are in the middle of the Swim and Track season right now, so the next season available to coach would be softball. Consider helping out the athletes who live in our communities, they really appreciate everyone who helps coach.
