Coach Jeff Williams comments on Friday's homecoming showdown with Rochester Mayo. It's a big game in the conference and section standings!

Owatonna(4-1) and Mayo(3-2) have faced off in the section finals each of the last two seasons. The Huskies prevailed each time on their way to the state title game (winning the championship last year). This year's section seems very wide open. OHS coach Jeff Williams comments on the match-up with Mayo:

Mayo has lost back-to-back games to Northfield and Faribault. The Spartans still have to face #1 Mankato West and Rochester Century(who whipped JM). The Huskies host JM next week before closing the regular season at Northfield.

Williams comments on his quarterback, junior Alex Emanuelson, who had a big game in the win at Austin last Friday:

Williams was happy to have his starting center & nose guard Sam Noeldner (senior) back on the field last week, after missing the Mankato West game due to a concussion:

As part of the homecoming festivities, there will be a pre-game picnic in the tennis court parking lot and the introduction of the homecoming royalty at halftime.

Be prepared for much colder & windy conditions.

The game can be heard on KRFO AM 1390 and on the FREE RadioPup app for your mobile device.
