A 20-year-old southern Minnesota man was sentenced this week for firing a gun while trying to rob a drug dealer last winter. He faces slightly less than a year in jail plus five years probation. No one was hurt when the gun went off.

Christian Alexander Mayhew-Ykeme of Sleepy Eye was sentenced in Blue Earth County District Court this week according to the Mankato Free Press. Mayhew-Ykeme pleaded guilty to robbery and drug possession, which are felonies.
