Road repairs begin Thursday, June 2, on South Oak Avenue between Holly Street Southwest and South Cedar Avenue. A 2-inch pavement mill followed by a 2-inch bituminous overlay will constitute the work. The road will remain open for traffic. However, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

On Friday, June  work will be done on South Cedar Avenue near the TH 14 north ramps. Both projects should be completed by the end of the day Friday if the weather cooperates.

A reminder that the pavement overlay project on County 45 between Highway 14 and County State Highway 4 will begin on June 6. This portion of 45 will be closed until work is completed in mid- to late August.

This project will consist of a concrete pavement overlay with work on the right turn lanes at County State Highways, 4, 3, 31, 60 and 18.

This project will affect people who come from the southern part of the county to Owatonna for work or shopping. Keep in mind roadwork is being done on Lemond Road for a while longer as well. Looks like a lot of us will be choosing the freeway to get to work.
