The Owatonna Knights of Columbus present the annual Smokin in Steele Barbecue and Blues Festival this weekend at the Steele County Fairgrounds.

Food vendors will be open for lunch starting at 11AM on Friday, May 30.

The music in the Beer Garden begins at 5:30PM with the free music in Park Square starting at 7PM.

Activities start at 7AM on Saturday with the Backyard Amateur BBQ competition. There will also be a 5K Walk/Run along with a display of antique tractors and big rigs, a bike cruise, free harmonica lessons for kids and a hot rod car show.

Music on Saturday begins at 11:30AM. Music in Park Square is free and $10 gets a wristband to get into the music in the Beer Garden both Friday and Saturday nights.

A pancake breakfast will be served up in the Beer Garden on Sunday from 8-11:30AM.

The festival benefits the local Special Olympics.
