For a number of years the 4 Seasons Center has played host to the Senior Expo. This year the Expo evolves into "Engaged 4 Life" and there will be a new location as well. Engaged 4 Life will be May 6 from 9AM to 1PM at the newly remodeled and expanded Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna.

Mary Ann Higgins and Deb Gillard, who are a couple of the co-chairs, stopped by AM 1390 for our Talk of the Town.

So far more than 50 vendors have signed up to take part. There will once again be screenings and informational sessions.

This year's guest speaker at noon will be Jennifer West of FamilyMeans. She will address the topic: What should you be telling your family. A talk on how to initiate conversations about death, funerals and health care directives.

Demonstrations will be :

  • Big and Loud a new therapy program for Parkinson's offered by the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute
  • Cooking for 1 or 2 by Hy-Vee Dietitian Tracy Bjerke
  • Footwear for Diabetics from the Sterling Pharmacy Department
  • How to Use Assisted Walking Devices by Owatonna Physical Therapy

Check our events tab in early May for exact times for the demonstrations.

Admission and parking are free.
