The driver of a semi trailer truck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures Sunday morning after his rig crashed off of a Highway 169 ramp and landed on an Interstate 494 ramp below. No one else was injured.

The accident occurred around 8:30 am on Sunday and left the area closed for a few hours.

The Star Tribune reports that progress continues on the Interstate 35 reconstruction project in south Minneapolis. The story announces that the exit from I-35 to 11th Street and Grant Street into downtown Minneapolis is reopening Monday morning.

A fire at a metal recycling facility in St. Paul burned for several hours according to a report in the Tribune. Approximately 50 firefighters battled the Friday blaze. No one was in the building according to the report.
