Mary Hawkins, Principal at Lincoln School was our guest on Talk of the Town this week. My goodness, she informed me that the first trimester of the school year has come and gone as of last Friday. To mark the end of the first trimester they undertook a make project. They took the students which number around 600 ice skating at the 4 Seasons Center. They divided them into groups of 200. It was quite fun but challenging. It was the first time on skates for many of the youngsters. A group of students from the Alternative Learning Center helped out with the kids.

The holiday concert is Thursday, December 7 at 7PM at OHS. It will feature the students in grades 3,4,and 5 along with the Lincoln Choir.

The school is taking part in an effort to recognize positive behavior among students known as Lincoln Leaders. Now through Friday the students are taking part in a food drive.

As far as bricks and mortar,a new entrance has been built and a new set of restrooms as well. The restrooms should be open in a few weeks. There is also work being done on a new gym which will include a room for art and music. This is hoped to be ready by the end of January.
