Organizers of the 1st Annual Ice Golf Scramble on Roberds Lake to be held February 2, 2019 will be giving details about the event on KDHL today.  Our AM Minnesota program begins 9:30 a.m.  The tornadoes that ripped through this region on September 20 hit that area particularly hard and some of the proceeds will be used to help with debris cleanup.

There are still scores of trees down in woods in the area.  Organizers also want to use some of the funds to preserve the waters for future generations through weed and algae control and stocking.  The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Winjum's Shady Acres Restaurant is hosting with a costume contest, musical entertainment and more.

Still Trucking will be providing the music from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  The costume contest will include a prize for the best team theme.  There will be door prizes too.

Tee time is 11:00 a.m.  Cost is $25 per golfer.  It's Texas Scramble (best ball) with a shot gun start.  Please bring your golf club of choice and tennis balls.

Register your team of 3 to 4 golfers today www.roberdslakeclub.com/icegolf.

You can also register by phoning 507-334-8778.
