Steele County Road Closures

There will be a few more road closures to start June.

A portion of Kenyon Road will be closed June 1-5. Highway Department crews will be conducting culvert/pipe repair work on County 12 between County Road 161 and north of the Merton Town Hall all week, and the road will be closed Monday through Friday. The work is contingent on the weather.

The Union Pacific Railroad announces that they will be closing 26th Street Northwest to all traffic between State Avenue and Cedar Avenue North on Tuesday, June 2, beginning at 9AM. They need to perform emergency repairs on defective rails in the crossing. The road is expected to be reopened about 5PM that day.
