January 22, 2019 we've got ice covered roads over most of Southern Minnesota along with a winter weather advisory till midnight. Not too bad compared to last year. Remember a year ago today? January 22, 2018 Owatonna got dumped on with 17 inches of snow. We tied with a couple places in Faribault county for the highest snow fall total that day. Rice County picked up 13 inches and Waseca reported 16.5 inches on that date.

I remember it was a Monday as my wife and mother in law planned to go to Wisconsin and continue their work on cleaning out my late mother's apartment. Thankfully they didn't go.

Here's a video to remind you of the January 22, 2018 blizzard.
